  • Q: How much does counselling cost?
A: The cost of 1-2-1 counselling sessions with me is £60 per 50-minute session. For couple counselling, the fee is £90 per 80-minute session.
  • Q: How do I schedule an appointment?
A: To schedule an appointment, you can call or email me using the contact information provided on my website. Please leave a message with your name, contact details, and preferred times for appointments, and I will get back to you as soon as possible. We can then discuss your needs further and find a suitable time for your initial session.
  • Q. What happens after I contact you?
Initially, I will ask you to book a free 15-minute introductory video call to ascertain if I am the best person to be of help. If we decide to proceed, I will ask you to book in for an assessment session to explore your reasons for coming to therapy and learn more about your background. If you are attending couples therapy, I will ask you to each book in for an individual assessment session before seeing you both together.
  • Q: How long does counselling last?
Individual sessions last 50 minutes and couples sessions last 75 minutes. The duration of counselling varies depending on your specific needs and goals. Some individuals may find relief in a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term counselling. However, I strongly recommend you plan for no less than six sessions. Together, we will discuss and determine an appropriate treatment plan tailored to your situation, and regularly assess progress along the way.
  • Q: How often are counselling sessions?
A: The frequency of counselling sessions depends on your individual needs and availability. Initially, I ask that you attend weekly at the same time and day, to establish a therapeutic relationship and address immediate concerns. As progress is made, sessions may be spaced out to every two weeks. Ultimately, the frequency is determined collaboratively to best support your progress.
  • Q: Is counselling confidential?
A: Yes, counselling is strictly confidential. Your privacy is of utmost importance, and all information you share during sessions is kept confidential, except in rare situations where there is a legal or ethical obligation to disclose information, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I will explain confidentiality in more detail during our first session.
  • Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?
A: I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. I kindly request that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows will be subject to the full session fee. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
